a bank of ideas to develop the solutions that will change the world
Thenewworldbank.com is a new worldbank - in the right sense of the word. It is a bank of ideas on the Internet, which collect and develop solutions for acute global needs. Thenewworldbank.com is the tool that will make the world of the 21sth century a better, smarter and more sustainable place to live in.
Thenewworldbank.com finds and develops the solutions that are required when mankind to a greater extension, relocate to cities around the world. Thenewworldbank.com is the tool that can help us in the process of creating a sustainable environment and infrastructure, or in the task of improving the social conditions for everyone in this world? It brings out the knowledge that already exists but making it more productive and smarter. Thenewworldbank.com is the bridge between the behaviour from the digital world and the physical and global reality. But what is it all about? A development through open source, as a Wikipedia that takes the step towards the concrete urban solutions if you like. With this, thenewworldbank.com becomes the link between creative individuals, scientists, entrepreneurs and the public institutions. It collects ideas, develops them, refines them to the stage where the ideas actually can be produced and distributed.
the old world bank: aid to developing countries.
the new world bank: solutions for urban regions.

Thenewworldbank.com has been started, and in an initial phase, driven by Färgfabriken, an artvenue and contemporary laboratory. Its day to day work is based in Stockholm and Östersund. The initial idea for thenewworldbank.com derives from the Estonian architect Veronika Valk and has after that been developed by Färgfabrikens Jan Åman together with Michael Daun and a global network.
Thenewworldbank.com is an independent initiative but will cooperate widely with public institutions as well as with the commercial and industrial life. Thenewworldbank.com is planned in dialogue with partners in from different countries in the world, among these are Japan, Estonia, Switzerland, Belgium and Kenya.
Thenewworldbank.com will be an independent foundation as well as an institute promoting conferences and seminars as well as creating the possibility for meetings, discussions and with that more information.
