The base for thenewworldbank.com is an Internet platform with a global audience.
Product: a Wikipedia for urban solutions, an open source project for community building. A tool for all involved used to develop ideas and solutions as well as to create a feeling of being part the making of a better world and the creating of a network. Social responsibility walks side by side with business possibilities.
The business plan is developed in two phases:
Phase 1:
The fall of 2008 - the spring of 2009. The building of a prototype. Creating a structure as well as an abutment. Seeking support with bigger partners, such as EU, foundations, UN and the Worldbank. In excess of this, finding more financial support.

Phase 2:
2009 - The composing of a finished product.
Thenewworldbank.com institute is collaterally built with the Internet platform. It will be seated at Biessie Baenie in Östersund, the new landmark for northern Europe. The institute creates information and knowledge’s and convey it globally. The institute will work for urban global solutions as Davos works for the economy.
The institute for the thenewworldbank.com will every year arrange a world leading conference on a specific theme with in thenewworldbank.com's areas of interest. For instance: sustainability, water supply, questions concerning living, integration, infrastructure and social entrepreneurmanship. Every year a guest scientist will be invited to arrange the conference, a conference that also, every year will get a unique interpretation. The institute and conference will develop in dialogue with, among others, TED (USA), Waldzell (Austria) and DLD (Germany).
The guest scientist will work on location in Biessie Baenie. The institute will stand on a global co-operation with universities and scientists that will be connected to resources at NTNU in Trondheim and the Mittuniversitetet in Östersund.
Initiating partners:
The development of thenewworldbank.com has already begun. Now it's time to build the Internet platform. For this we invite a few selected partners to become initiating partners. This means financing of phase 1. Moreover, being an initiating partner means you will always be an initiating partner.
Phase 2 of the Internet platform, the institute and the 2010 Stockholm exhibition, will have separate financing.
